The SOVA Night Guard for adults features a convenient design (1.6mm inside, 2.4mm outside) to deliver maximum protection and durability. Suitable for ages 11+, it is compatible with braces when moulded by a dentist. The SOVA Junior Night Guard, tailored for kids aged 6–11, offers a slim 1.6mm profile that fits comfortably and doesn’t interfere with sleep.

CONSULT A DENTIST BEFORE USE IF YOU HAVE:
- Orthodontics – you must have the SOVA Night Guard fitted by your orthodontist or dentist.
- Missing teeth.
- Clicking of your jaw.
- Sores in your mouth or bleeding of the gums.
- If you have been diagnosed with temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems.
DO NOT USE:
- With artificial dentures.
- If you have loose teeth, loose fillings, loose caps, or cavities with no fillings.
- An improperly fitted night guard.
- As an athletic mouthguard. Instead, please see the SISU range.
CONSULT A DENTIST IF:
- The same symptoms continue after several months of use.
- If you experience pain while using the SOVA Night Guard, first try remoulding using less suction.
DISCONTINUE USE IF:
- Soreness, bleeding, or other reactions inside your mouth.
- You notice new symptoms such as pain in your jaw, teeth, ear, neck stiffness, headache, or joint clicking after use.
- You have loose teeth or a change in your bite that lasts more than a few minutes after removing.
- The SOVA Night Guard has been worn or bitten through or shows signs of excessive wear.

What You’ll Need?
- A bowl (ceramic or glass)
- Hot water (approximately 170°F / 76°C – not boiling)
- Fork or similar utensil
- A mirror
Steps to Fit Your Night Guard
- Prepare the Guard: Wash your hands and rinse the night guard with mild soap and water.
- Soften the Material: Heat water to approximately 170°F (76°C). Place the night guard in the water and allow it to soften for 30–60 seconds. Once soft, carefully remove the guard using a fork or similar utensil.
- Position the Guard: Hold the guard with both hands and gently insert it into your mouth. Ensure it is centred and positioned over your teeth.
- Shape the Guard: Close your lips around the guard and gently bite down. Use your fingers to mould the material around the front and sides of your teeth, ensuring a snug fit.
- Harden the Material: Keep the guard in your mouth for 3–5 minutes until the material hardens and holds its shape.
- Re-Fit If Necessary: If the fit isn’t perfect, simply place the guard back into the hot water to soften and reshape. The SOVA Night Guard can be remoulded up to 20 times.

What You’ll Need?
- A bowl (ceramic or glass)
- Hot water (approximately 170°F / 76°C – not boiling)

Steps to Fit the Night Guard
- Prepare the Night Guard: Clean the night guard using mild soap and water.
- Soften the Guard: Heat water to 170°F (76°C) and immerse the night guard for 30–60 seconds until the material becomes soft and pliable. For coloured guards, it may take slightly longer to soften. Remove carefully with a fork or utensil.
- Position in Mouth: Ensure the guard does not fold on itself while soft. Insert the softened guard into your child’s mouth, aligning it over their teeth.
- Shape for a Custom Fit: Have your child gently bite down on the front of the guard while using their tongue to press it against the roof of their mouth. Use your fingers to shape the guard around their teeth and gums.
- Set the Fit: Keep the guard in place for 3–5 minutes to allow the material to harden.
- Adjust as Needed: If the fit isn’t right, place the guard back in hot water to soften and reshape. The SOVA Junior Night Guard is also remouldable up to 20 times.
Pro Tips
- Do not use boiling water, as it can damage the material.
- Avoid biting too hard or stretching the material excessively.
- Ensure the guard fits snugly but doesn’t feel overly tight or uncomfortable.
