The Oniris Plus® Mandibular Device is an adjustable oral appliance designed to support peaceful, uninterrupted nights by gently repositioning the lower jaw. This positioning helps to maintain airflow, reduce nighttime noise such as snoring, and support relaxed, more open breathing during sleep.
Customised for comfort using a boil-and-bite process, Oniris Plus® can be fitted at home in minutes and re-moulded up to three times. Its dual-material structure and bi-block articulation provide stability, adaptability, and long-term wearability. Whether used as a regular solution or as a travel-friendly alternative, this device offers a trusted, non-invasive option for night-time breathing support.

Important Information
It is essential to read the instructions carefully before using the Oniris device.
Not Suitable For
Persons who suffer from tooth mobility, disease or infectious complications of the gum or periodontium; people suffering from snoring of nasal origin; people with an uncontrollable gag reflex; people suffering from epilepsy; people undergoing orthodontic treatment; people aged less than 18 years; people who have less than 8 natural teeth per jaw (4 on each side), except for those who have a complete removable denture on the upper jaw or a complete denture attached to 2 Locator-type implants on the lower jaw. This also applies if you still have a wire behind your teeth after orthodontic treatment or if you have veneers.
In case of doubt, imperatively consult a dental or ENT specialist.
Adaptation Period
An adaptation period is always necessary before feeling comfortable with the Oniris splint. This period can vary from a few days to a few weeks according to individuals.
During this period until the jaw becomes accustomed to it, it is possible and normal to feel some adverse effects such as having a dry mouth, excessive salivation, tooth sensitivity or muscular sensitivity upon awakening. These effects will disappear in a few minutes after removing the orthosis.
To minimise these effects, ONIRIS can be worn for 1 to 3 hours for the first few days. This will help you get used to it.
If you wake up in the middle of the night and are being caused discomfort by ONIRIS, simply remove it and go back to sleep. As the nights go by you should be able to sleep for longer and longer whilst wearing your ONIRIS.
The key is to persevere, take the time to get used to it.
Effectiveness
The splint may not be sufficiently effective for some people owing to an excessive mouth opening. In this case, the placement of elastic straps provided by the laboratory upon request can increase the effectiveness.
Since no treatment works 100%, if effectiveness is not obtained it is advisable to consult a dentist, a pneumologist or an ENT specialist who will be able to associate other treatments.
In case of lasting discomfort, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer or consult your treating physician.
Maintenance
This device should be kept in its box at a temperature below 45°C. After each use, brush the device with a toothbrush and toothpaste, then rinse with cold water.
It is highly recommended to use effervescent disinfectant tablets to prevent odours and the development of biofilms.
Normal use of the Oniris device may result in discolouration or staining over time. This does not affect its effectiveness.
A semi-annual follow-up visit to your dentist is recommended.
In case of sleep apnea, it is recommended that you consult your treating physician for a checkup.
